Dusty started a new journey in life yesterday. He went to Canines for Service where he will undergo training. After graduation he will go (at no charge) as an assistance companion to a disabled veteran. There is more then one way to serve this great country and Dusty in doing his part, way to go big guy!

This is the time of year when we receive gifts and it is customary to return the favor. It is a perfect opportunity to recycle the ones we got last year and stuck in the attic, just don't forget who gave you what.
It is also when GOD gave us the greatest gift of all, his son Jesus Christ and we reciprocated by hanging him on a cross. The only thing we will see in Heaven that was made by man are the nail scars in Jesus.
That was a long time ago and I don't know the man I used to be, but one thing in life I have learned is that down on my knees is where I learned now to stand. All that I am, I am because of him.
Jerris and I would like to wish all our friends a Blessed Christmas and a Joyful New Year.

My name is Charlie, not to long ago I was living alone muddy and matted on the streets. Now I live in a nice house with Nessa, my new partner in crime. Yes fairytales do come true !

When Noah had been adopted for only one month, I got a call that they were bringing him back. When he arrived we had to rush him to Kind Care because of his condition and they told us he was in congestive heart failure.
Mindy did all she could to save him and make him comfortable, but she did not think he would make it through the night, but he did.
Everyday was a blessing and after nine and a half mouths, with Jerris and I by his side, our beloved Noah crossed over to Rainbow Bridge.
In all these years and hundreds of dogs Noah was one of the most gentlest and loving kid we have ever had or ever will have. His passing leaves us with a heavy heart full of loving memories. We are not sad for Noah’s leaving because he is no longer suffering. We are not mad with GOD for taking him because he gave us nine and a half months longer to spend with Noah. GOD only loaned him to us and our tears are just interest on that loan. We are saddened because we loved him and will miss him.
Later as we were sitting on the porch and reminiscent about Noah we saw something we have had not seen in many years. Our yard was full of lightning bugs (fairies) shining there heavenly glow at the spot where he would often go. Was this just a coincidence???

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the days comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes age intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to rum from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….
